A town and seaside resort in the county of Essex, Southend on Sea was originally the 'south end' of a village called Prittlewell, it developed as a resort during the Georgian Era, benefitting from its closeness and accessibility to central London. The town was famous as having the longest pier in the world.
Southend on Sea can be accessed via the A127 and the A13, it also has good rail links with central London.
