Perranporth: A renowned surfing resort in the county of Cornwall, Perranporth has a population of around 3,000 and is located south-west of Newquay. The village is named after St Piran, who founded a church there in the 7th century, Also popular with golfers Perranporth has a fine links golf course (Perranporth Golf Club).
Apart from the beaches and the stunning coastline, there are a number of attractions in and around Perranporth, these include the Blue Tin Streams, Perranzabuloe Museum, Holywell Bay Fun Park, Penrose Water Gardens, Lappa Valley Steam Railway and the Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay. You could also try your hand at surfing (Perranporth Surf School), golf (Perranporth Golf Club), or horse riding (Reen Manor Riding Stables).
Perranporth can be accessed via the B3285 and B3284, it is about 8 miles from the city of Truro.
