One of Cornwall's most popular tourist attractions, the Eden Project boasts the largest greenhouse in the world. Situated about 3 miles north of St Austell, the Eden Project is built in an unused china clay pit and comprises a number of huge plastic domes, housing plant species from all around the world.

The project , which took over 2 years to complete, opened in 2001, it was designed by architect Nicholas Grimshaw and was the brainchild of Tim Smit.

The Eden Project is about 4 miles from St Austell, 18 miles from Truro, 72 miles from Exeter and 247 miles from London.
