A town in the Wycombe district of southern Buckinghamshire, Marlow has a population of around 14,000 and is an affluent town lying on the banks of the River Thames. A town of Anglo-Saxon origin, it was named as Merlaue in the Domesday Book (1086), it has had its own Market Charter since 1324.
