Ugborough: A small village and parish in the South Hams district of Devon, Ugborough has a population of around 1,700 and a history stretching back to Saxon times, from where its name no doubt derives (meaning roughly "Ugga's Fortified Place"), there were 5 manors at the time of the Domesday Book (1086). The large parish church (St Peter's), once known as the "Cathedral of the Soth Hams", dates from 1121.

Ugborough can be accessed from the A38 and the A3121, it is about 2.5 miles from Ivybridge, 20 miles from Plymouth, 32 miles from Exeter, and about 204 miles driving distance from London.
