Standing on the River Wharfe in Yorkshire, the historic market town of Wetherby has a population of just over 10,000 and is located to the north-east of Leeds. Originally held by the Knights Templar during the 12th and 13th centuries, Wetherby (or Werreby as it was than known) was granted the right to hold a market by Henry III (1240), it later became a major coaching station for travellers between London and Edingburgh.
Wetherby can be accessed via the A1(M) and the A661.
