In terms of getting about, Haywards Heath has one of the better train links in the area—trains to London Victoria or London Bridge take under an hour. Brighton is just a short hop south. Gatwick Airport is around 20 minutes by car or train, making it a handy base if you're flying. Driving's not bad either, with the A23 and A272 providing decent road connections across the county.
