Locks Heath is located between the town of Fareham and the River Hamble and is more modern suburb than traditional village. Over time, Locks Heath has established itself as a place to live, having been initially agricultural land and then small clusters of homes before developing into a residential neighbourhood during the latter part of the 20th Century with the establishment of housing estates and local centres. It has a population of approximately 10,000 people, many of whom are families whom choose to live there because it has good schools, shops and reasonably easy access to major population centres nearby. You have good access to the coast, with both Warsash and Hamble a short distance away from you, and numerous areas of green space for recreational use. Beyond Locks Heath, further afield, you will find historical landmarks such as Netley Abbey and Titchfield Abbey to explore, plus plenty of rural countryside. There are excellent transport links in Locks Heath with the M27 motorway being immediately adjacent; Swanwick and Fareham Railway Stations offer trains to other destinations; and Southampton Airport is only 20 minutes away, making it easy to travel.
