Situated in Culm Valley, the charming market town of Cullompton is in the mid Devon region and is also bordered by the Blackdown Hills - making it an attractive mix of bustling market town living with the tranquillity of rolling countryside around it. The area has been settled since Saxon times but was later known for its significant history relating to Textile Manufacture & Weaving. The only reminder of Cullompton's wealth during the Medieval Period is St Andrews Church. With a growing population estimated at 9000 (and increasing), this town provides excellent transport links through its location along the M5 Motorway corridor as well as being close to Tiverton Parkway Train Station allowing for ease of travel to, from & within the Town of Cullompton (to Bristol, Exeter, and many other locations).
The Town Centre continues to maintain its traditional atmosphere as it has a diverse selection of Shops, Cafes & Pubs; all of which are locally owned and operated. Many local residents enjoy the Cullompton Community Centre, and Sports Clubs that are located along the River and within the surrounding area, as well as Killerton House & Gardens and Knightshayes Court (verified National Trust Properties).
