Burbage is a large Leicestershire village that adjoins the town of Hinckley, with around 17,000 residents and a history stretching back beyond the times of the Domesday Book. Its older centre still has oodles of village character, while newer housing has gradually filled the gap towards Hinckley, esentially joining the two together. The M69 and nearby A5 make road travel simple enough, with Hinckley railway station providing train services to Leicester, Birmingham and far beyond. Burbage Common and Woods is a favourite local green space, and the village has a decent selection of shops, pubs, schools, sports facilities and everyday services.
