South Molton sits in the North Devon countryside, characterized by rolling hills and the feel of an enduring farmers' market town. It has been called the “Gateway to Exmoor” and has roots dating back to the Saxon period; it eventually became an important centre for the production of wool and livestock, as well as a hub of local commerce.
