Blackwater sits at the borders (Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire) of the civics of Camberley and Farnborough as a commuter town with a balance between its old and new features. It grew at a constant pace from the arrival of the railways through its growth from military and business development, i.e., commercial facilities located near or within reach of residential developments.

Blackwater has a population between 8,000 and 9,000. The area is popular among those commuting into London or using the M3 corridor while still having easy access to major urban centres. There are typical necessities; shops, pubs, schools, and recreation areas all are close by, as well as places to explore further such as Wellington Country Park, Sandhurst Memorial Park, and the historical ruins of Odiham Castle.

As for transporation there are many options to get around, including using the New Blackwater Railway Station’s connection to Reading and Gatwick airports, the proximity of the M3 to the area and the ability to reach Heathrow in less than an hour (under the right driving conditions).
