Blaby is a busy villagethat is located to the south of the city of Leicester. Blaby has around 7,000 residents and a history reaching back to its mention in the Domesday Book. Once centred largely on farming, Blaby gradually expanded as Leicester grew, although the older streets around the All Saints Church still give the place that traditional feel that harps back to bygone days. The nearby A426, A563, M1 and M69 make getting around fairly easy, with Narborough and South Wigston providing nearby rail connections for those who like to travel by train. Blaby has a decent spread of shops, pubs, schools, healthcare and community facilities, while Fosse Park and Everards Meadows are close by.
