Ibstock is a good-sized village that is located in north-west Leicestershire, it has about 6,500 residents and a history that was shaped by farming, coal mining and brickmaking. The settlement appears in the Domesday Book, although it expanded considerably during the industrial era as local pits and works provided employment for those in the area. The A447 runs through the village, giving handy road links to Coalville, Hinckley and the wider road network, with buses covering nearby towns.
