Measham is a fairly large village that's located in north-west Leicestershire, quite close to the Derbyshire border. Measham has about 5,500 residents and a history that was forged by coal mining, canals and its distinctive pottery. Measham grew rapidly during the industrial era, although the centre still holds onto a traditional village feel. The A42 runs nearby, giving handy road links to Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Tamworth and the M42, with local buses covering surrounding towns and villages. Measham has some shops, pubs, schools, healthcare, sports facilities and everyday services.
