Titchfield is one of the oldest villages in Hampshire; located between Fareham and the Solent. It still has a real historic atmosphere about it – the historic buildings built in the period of time, the narrow lanes and streets, and the ruins of Titchfield Abbey create a unique character, but it doesn't have a very polished feel to it. This village has had residents since Saxon times and became known as an important medieval historical site after the construction of Titchfield Abbey, meaning it remains one of the best known places in the area and is managed by English Heritage. There are approximately 7,000 people living here, which is small compared to the surrounding towns, but there are a lot of things to do nearby. In addition to visiting the village itself, you can also take advantage of Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve, the River Meon, as well as the larger Solent coastline. For more family friendly attractions, consider visiting the nearby Royal Victoria Country Park or the other parks and recreation areas around those three noted areas. Also, if you are travelling to Titchfield from a different part of the country, you will be able to take the M27, and for those who enjoy public transport, there are two trains stops close by, Swanwick and Fareham, both of which will connect to the national rail network; plus, you are only twenty minutes away from Southampton Airport, depending on how heavy the traffic may be.

Some of the main streets in Titchfield include: High Street, South Street, East Street, West Street, Bridge Street, Mill Street, Church Street, Abbey Road, Fontley Road, Posbrook Lane, Southampton Hill, Gosport Road.

We hope you found this Titchfield tourist map useful for your visit to the area.
