Hampshire's seaside village of Warsash can be found at the mouth of the River Hamble, which has a rich history as a fishing community and an important shipbuilding centre. Today, it has become one of the most popular places to live in this part of Southern England, particularly for those involved in sailing and other water-based activities. Warsash is home to approximately 6,000 residents. With its relaxed atmosphere, especially around the waterfront, you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy walking along the riverside, dining and drinking at the many local pubs and cafes, as well as being able to visit Royal Victoria Country Park (formerly an army training ground) and the historical ruins of Netley Abbey (former Cistercian monastery). Lastly, the New Forest National Park (approx. one hour by car) is accessible from Warsash.
