Located beneath the South Downs of West Sussex, Storrington is an old market town with an abundance of rural tranquillity and enough activity on a daily basis to enjoy. Once a trading centre with medieval origins along ancient trade routes, Storrington has many areas where narrow lanes, period cottages and buildings made from flint help to define its character. Today, there are about 8,500 residents within the town centre, which is home to independent shops, cafés and various community events throughout the year. The A283 provides access between Storrington and Shoreham as well as between Steyning and Pulborough while the nearest rail stations are located at Amberley or Pulborough providing services to both London and the South Coast. The South Downs Way and Chanctonbury Ring are both very popular among walkers as well as being visited by tourists visiting Parham House and the Amberley Museum. Other sites to visit that are cared for by the National Trust are Cissbury Ring and Nymans, along with many Heritage sites offering activities for guests visiting Bramber Castle and the ruins of the historic village of Lewes. The atmosphere created by the combination of tea shops, country pubs and someone wearing walking boots results in a perfect environment to relax after a day spent exploring the natural world.
