Pulborough is a large village located in the county of West Sussex, situated along the banks of River Arun and at the southern edge of South Downs National Park and encompasses the open countryside and also plenty of natural habitat for wildlife as well as the day-to-day life that can be found around the village. The village has a historical background derived from both Roman and Saxon origins and developed gradually as a point of crossing for traders who travelled on established trade routes; the older part of the village still comprises buildings constructed many years ago and many traditional Somerset-type homes. With around 5,500 residents currently living in Pulborough it's said that there is a friendly appropriate atmosphere and there are local shops, restaurants and pubs that continue to have a good trade with the local population.
Pulborough railway station offers a direct transport link to London Victoria, Gatwick airport and south coast destinations. Road travel is generally made easy, as A29 and A283 are conveniently located to the village. Pulborough Brooks Nature Reserve is a major destination for birdwatchers and walkers; nearby National Trust sites include Petworth House and Uppark House; visitors to English Heritage often go to Amberley Museum or Bramber Castle. It is a place where walking shoes, tea shops, dog parks (with lots of muddy Labradors) all belong here.
