The coastal village of Ferring located in West Sussex is located between Worthing and Littlehampton and is known for its laid-back vibe, walking along the beach and being slightly old-fashioned, all of which seem to be very much appreciated by those who live there. Ferring has Anglo-Saxon history but was mainly a farming area until the twentieth century when the Sussex coastline became increasingly populated. There are currently around five thousand people living in Ferring today and it has a friendly, homely community atmosphere created by independent shops, caffes and clubs; they contribute a great deal to the way of life within Ferring, allowing it to run smoothly. The beach at Ferring, along with the adjoining green space, is very popular for dog walking and viewing the sea, whilst the South Downs are a short distance from the village by car.

Goring-By-Sea and Angmering have train stations providing transport links to London, Brighton and Portsmouth; the A259 road provides a simple way of travelling between all these towns and villages.The National Trust has some beautifully maintained sites in the area, such as Cissbury Ring and Slindon Estate; English Heritage has attractions like Bramber Castle and Amberley Museum, which many visitors come and see. Ferring is a type of village where beach cafes, garden centres and muddy walking shoes seem to harmonise perfectly.
