Paultons Park, which is the home of Peppa Pig World, is conveniently located at the edge of the New Forest, in Ower, and is one of the most popular family attractions in Hampshire with over 250 thousand visitors since it opened in 2011. The major attraction of Peppa Pig World are the many rides, splash zones, and play areas based on the well-known character from the children’s television series. The site is set within the New Forest and retains all of its rural characteristics, although the neighbouring villages also retain much of the traditional character associated with the area. Southampton is a large city (over 250,000) and provides the closest major urban area to the park, as well as being the gateway to the New Forest National Park (including New Forest National Park to the north and south) and the historic city of Winchester (including its cathedral) and its historic town centre. The park itself is also very accessible by road, being located right next to both the M27 and A36 motorways; it can be reached by train from either Southampton Central or Totton rail stations; and Southampton Airport is located approximately 20 minutes away by car depending on traffic conditions.
