Chilworth is located just north of Southampton in Hampshire and borders the southern edge of the South Downs, which is renowned for being a quiet, peaceful, leafy hampshire village set amongst trees and woodlands. It has been occupied for a long time as a Farming and Brick Making settlement with evidence remaining of old industrial sites dotting the forest and several walking trails through it. Chilworth has a smaller population of approximately 2000, making it a sheltered and hidden spot compared to most areas so close to a city. Chilworth Manor and the surrounding area produce a rural feel reminiscent of old Hampshire, however Mottisfont Abbey, Romsey Abbey and the New Forest are easily accessible. Additionally Southampton's shopping and water-based attractions are within a short drive distance. Transport infrastructure is also very good with the M3 and M27 providing good road links as well as rail links from Southampton Parkway and Romsey stations; and Southampton International Airport is approximately 10 minutes’ drive away, traffic dependent.
